Starting your puppy on the right path begins with mental and physical stimulation in small, controlled groups at a puppy school. This is an essential first step and will keep your puppy happy and on your way to creating a friendly, family member.
Puppy classes are run for dogs eight to sixteen weeks of age.
Whether you are after a well mannered dog at home and in public or you want to compete in formal obedience trials our Obedience training will take you through from the basic of levels to competition standards.
This can be achieved through classes or individual lessons.
These are our most popular training options delivered in the comfort of your own home and supervised in public. Basic packages for manners for your companion to the behavioural packages for the reactive and aggressive dog.
Dogs bark for many reasons. Excitement, when they want something or maybe to warn of the huge number of things that attract their attention.Excessive barking can indicate loneliness or boredom or just because they love barking.Whether this behaviour happens at home or in public we can help get on top of the behaviour and allow the dog to make better choices along the way.
No dog is aggressive all of the time or for no reason. Identifying the triggers and showing the dog that you have its’ back no matter what is the basis of our training. Whether it is dog to dog or dog to human aggression we have many avenues to follow to eventually bring calm and balance to your pet.
While the outline of our advertised packages is standard for our clients, the behaviour modification pathways will be different for each dog and household. This means that all the training we do will be tailored to your specific needs and way of life.
Each dog is unique and yet the same. There is no magic pill that will fix things overnight and in the case of learnt behaviour it takes time to teach the dog a better way. Through repetition, consistency and calm the end results are amazing. Some behaviours magically disappear in a short period of time and others take longer. The certainty is that unless there is something in the dog’s physiology that hinders its learning you will see results after the first session. Continuing the training will allow the dog to hand over control and make better choices.
Most people are well on their way to being the best leaders they can be to their pets by the end of the package.
